Swords Court Office and Court are temporarily relocating to Balbriggan where all court matters will be heard in Balbriggan Courthouse commencing on 2 September 2024 at 10.30am and every day after that.

The new temporary Swords and Balbriggan District Court public office will be located at  2nd Floor Balbriggan Public Library, Saint George’s Square, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin K32 TW27.

Please further Note that the public office will be closed due to this relocation on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 of August 2024.  Any urgent domestic violence applications can be applied for in Dolphin House Family Law Courts, East Essex Street, Dublin 2, D07 RR7

Notice 

Thursday 4 May 2023: Court sits in Balbriggan on Thursdays,  the 4 May will be the last court sitting in Balbriggan for the remainder of the year due to extensive building works.

• Balbriggan Court will sit in Swords Courthouse from and including 11 May 2023 until January 2024.
• Balbriggan cases will be listed on Thursdays only.
• Bench Warrants etc. to be adjourned back to Balbriggan District Court will be adjourned to Swords District Court on Thursday’s only at 10.30 a.m.

Please note: Where cases are to be adjourned, they will be adjourned to Swords District Court.
