I, Sandra Murphy, the duly assigned Judge of the District Court of District Court Area No.2 hereby direct by way of formal Practice Direction in relation to the management of District Family Court business and to the issue of summonses under the Guardianship of Infants Act, 1964 as amended

Notices/Summonses to be issued under the Act should first be forwarded to the relevant District Court Office in the District, in duplicate, by post, for the insertion of an appropriate return date.

This is effective from 2 January 2025.
