As a result of our audit, it has come to our attention that over 60% of all applications being lodged by practitioners have to be returned almost immediately due to simple errors or omissions. Accordingly, in an effort to reduce the inordinate amount of office time being spent returning these applications, we now require that the below linked checklist is completed and attached to ALL applications to the Limerick Probate Office. The checklist should also be signed by the SOLICITOR submitting the application. If the application is not accompanied by the checklist, then the application will be immediately returned without any examination.
Until such time as the error rate reduces significantly, the requirement to furnish the completed checklist will remain in place.
