High Court Pilot Project for Long Vacation 2025 – Non-Jury/Judicial Review/Asylum

Pursuant to the Notice of the High Court President published on 25 March 2025, there will be Pilot Project for Long Vacation sittings of Judges assigned to the Non-Jury/Judicial Review and Asylum Division of the High Court on the following dates.

Non-Jury

A Judge of the High Court will sit to hear one day Non-Jury cases on the dates specified below.

  1. 15 September
  2. 16 September
  3. 17 September
  4. 18 September
  5. 23 September
  6. 25 September
  7. 30 September
  8. 2 October

Parties seeking one of the above hearing dates must apply to the Non-Jury List Judge.

Asylum List

A Judge of the High Court will sit to deal with pre-leave ex parte Asylum Judicial Review matters on the following dates.

  1. 2 September (capacity for 20 cases per sitting)
  2. 4 September (capacity for 20 cases per sitting)
  3. 15 September (capacity for 20 cases per sitting)
  4. 16 September (capacity for 20 cases per sitting)
  5. 17 September (capacity for 20 cases per sitting)
  6. 18 September (capacity for 20 cases per sitting)

Two Judges of the High Court will sit to deal with pre-leave ex parte Asylum Judicial Review matters on the following dates.

  1. 1 October (20 cases per sitting)
  2. 3 October (20 cases per sitting)

Remote attendance at the above sittings will be facilitated. Matters at pre-leave stage will be allocated to the dates above when capacity is reached in the preceding list.

An Asylum Registrars List (Hybrid) will be held on 24 September.
