Courts Service publishes Environmental Sustainability Strategy 2021-2024

The first Courts Service Environmental Sustainability Strategy 2021-2024 has been published, at the end of an important month in the climate action calendar with COP 26 in Glasgow and the publication of Ireland’s own Climate Action plan 2021. 

The strategy sets out the vision for the coming years via four interconnecting priority areas, which are further broken down into twenty-four key actions. The priorities and actions set out the commitment of the Courts Service to

• maintain focus on and progress steadily towards our 2030 public sector energy efficiency and carbon reduction targets,
• reduce the resources we consume,
• manage our estate in a biodiversity-friendly way and
• engage and empower our colleagues as partners in this transition.
