The following measures will be strictly enforced on each day of the sitting of the Circuit Court at Clonmel Courthouse, County Tipperary:
1. The seating capacity of the Courtroom has been reduced to 22 people plus the Judge, the Registrar and the Judges Crier, the Courtroom has been marked out to indicate where people can sit in compliance with Social Distancing
2. We have set up a one way system for people entering and exiting the Courtroom. People enter the courtroom at the bottom of the Court and exit through the side door so that nobody has to come against anyone entering
3. Clonmel Courthouse has a large foyer where clients can sit well spaced from each other
4. The lists for each day have been specially designed to reduce the number of people in the Court building and Court room. The list on Wednesday originally consisted of two matters for hearing, two matters for mention only and two Pension Adjustment Orders.
5. At the callover at 10:30am, only one solicitor/barrister from each side in the matters at hearing, only one practitioner in relation to each Pension Adjustment Order and only one practitioner for the matters in for mention only will be allowed into the Courtroom. I estimate that there should be no more than 8-10 people in the Courtroom at 10:30am which will allow for Social Distancing to occur
6. The capacity of the Bar Room has been reduced to 4 people and the consultation rooms are closed as they are too small to facilitate Social Distancing
7. There are several hand sanitiser stations available in the main foyer of the Courthouse and hand washing facilities are available in the public bathrooms and Bar room
