The Courts Service has embarked on an ambitious 10-year modernisation programme, with the aim of enhancing services to court users. One of the cornerstones of this programme is the enhancement of our ICT services and in the High Court, the replacement of the Progress case management system.
Coinciding with the start of the new legal year, a new case management system will be implemented in the High Court from 2 October 2023. This is the first stage of the modernisation of the delivery of customer service to users and will lead in time to an array of new facilities including eFiling of documents. In the days before and after the introduction of the system, there will be some curtailment of normal services to facilitate staff training and allow opportunities to enhance the operation of the system. As a result, we will be offering a reduced number of daily appointments for in-person callers to the Central Office from 25 September to 13 October 2023.
In light of this, it would be appreciated if courts users could:
- Use alternative channels for lodging documents, such as post or drop box for lodging documents, if documents are not urgently required for Court
- Make appointments to attend the Central Office only where papers have an imminent deadline to be lodged or issued
- Contact the office at dublincivillaw@courts.ie where an appointment is not available on a date by which you have to issue a document
- Your cooperation and patience with us while we are implementing these important changes will be very much appreciated.
