**UPDATED IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR COURTS SITTING IN THE SOUTHERN REGION**

Please note up-to-date information from today, Wednesday 8 of January, on the status of court sittings in the Southern Region:

  • Nenagh – Courts scheduled for Nenagh is to proceed as normal on Thursday 9 January at 10:30.
     
  • Mallow – Mallow District Court Office will be closed on Thursday 9 January.  E-mail: mallowdc@courts.ie and emergency phone calls to 087-2072937.
     
  • Clonmel – Court scheduled for Cashel on Thursday 9 January is CANCELLED.  All cases adjourned to the 13 February 2025. Clonmel Court Office will be closed on Thursday 9 January.  E-mail: clonmelcourtoffice@courts.ie and emergency phone calls to 087-9813553.
     
  • Tralee – Courts scheduled to sit at Caherciveen & Killorglin (sitting at Caherciveen) will now sit at Tralee Courthouse on Thursday 9 January 2025 at 11:00.
     
  • Cork City – Courts scheduled for Washington Street & Anglesea Street are to proceed as normal on Thursday 9 January at 10:30.
     
  • Midleton – Courts scheduled for Midleton District Court is to proceed on Thursday 9 January at the new time of 11:00.
     
  • West Cork – Courts scheduled for Bantry District Court is to proceed on Thursday 9 January at the new time of 11:00.
     
  • Limerick – The Family Law District Court in Newcastle West scheduled for Thursday 9 January has been CANCELLED. All matters have been adjourned to Newcastle West on Thursday 23 January.  Any interim orders to continue. Matters pertaining to Mulgrave Street and Merchant’s Quay to proceed as normal.

 

Furthermore, office resources may be curtailed (particularly dependant on location) due to staff being unable to attend the office.   Practitioners should e-mail queries to the relevant office e-mail accounts for local information if required. Please monitor the courts.ie website & our social media channels for up-to-date information.
